“Our cornbread stuffing is a huge, huge draw. All of our green beans, especially our casserole offering, are a big draw. Our gravy is made from scratch using ABF [antibiotic-free] stock from poultry locally sourced. So at each store it’s made fresh with each season. So that’s in fairly high demand as well,” said Dulman.

It’s an attitude that starts with the family that founded the Woodland company and still nurtures its growth.
“We want (Nugget) to feel like family and it does,” said Eric Stille, Nugget’s president and CEO. “That’s a core value for us. It’s non-negotiable. It’s what gets you hired at Nugget.
“Along with that family feeling, we try to create a fun atmosphere,” he added with a broad smile. “If the associates have fun at work, that translates to guests. They feel something special when they walk in the door.”

This being said, coming into work is always a fun and safe experience because associates really do care about one another. The management team is also very approachable and they do not micro-manage; each person has opportunity to fail or succeed on their own which is necessary to grow,” says a millennial worker.
“There is a very welcoming environment at Nugget and everyone is very kind and respectful. The managers are all very nice and understanding and really care about their associates. The company cares about everyone and really tries to make its associates happy and comfortable and ready to work,” according to another millennial employee.
