Ingredients
- 1 beef filet roast
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Cracked black pepper, to taste
- Granulated garlic, to taste
- Cooking oil, for searing
Preparation
Preheat oven to 225°F.
Season filet roast with salt, pepper and granulated garlic. Place on a roasting rack in the oven and cook for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, or to an internal temperature of 115°F.
Remove filet from oven. Heat sauté pan over medium-high heat, add the cooking oil and sear filet until browned on all sides.
Let roast rest 15 minutes before carving.
