The secret to this warm-weather cocktail is a touch of sweet apricot preserves to balance the spice of ginger and rye.
Ingredients
- 2 ounces rye whiskey
- 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Bonne Maman Apricot Preserves
- 2 dashes orange bitters
- 2–3 ounces Fever-Tree Ginger Beer
- Fruit of choice, for garnish
Preparation
Combine whiskey, lemon juice, apricot preserves and bitters in a shaker with ice. Shake to combine, then double strain into a glass over fresh ice. Top off with ginger beer and stir slightly, then garnish as desired.
