We love this IPA and we think Dad will too! Draft Magazine gives it 98 points and says it has, "Bright amber color, massive grapefruit and floral hops, touch of pale malt sweetness, elegant balance, finishes clean and dry." We love it paired with Hot Wings and Blue Cheese.
Pink wine does not always mean sweet wine. It’s getting hot outside, so let the Rosé season begin! Dry Rosés are extremely popular in many famous wine regions, especially in Provence (France), Languedoc (France), Navarra (Spain), throughout Europe, and increasingly here in the US. Dry Rosés can be made from any number of red grape varietals. One of our most popular domestic Rosés is the Match Book Tempranillo Rosé.
This is the perfect wine when you want something other than a white, but a full-bodied red is just too much with the hot weather.
This week we are featuring Rosés from Europe and the US. The good news is that they are all under $10.00. We even have the La Vielle Ferme Rosé from the south of France in a 1.5 LTR bottle (equal to two 750 ml bottles) for under 10.00! These are pink wines that really pair well with a great many dishes. Enjoy these with lighter salads, a fruit plate, or just on their own.
Prices valid June 6, 2012 - June 12, 2012.
This blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, and 23% Cabernet Franc pairs exceptionally well with beef. The winemaker describes it, “Anise mingles with floral notes of lavender, violets and roses. There are hints of cloves, baking spices and sweet dark bing cherries. It is all combined with vanilla and sweet oak/cedar from the barrels used for aging.”
For our guests who are gluten intolerant or who prefer to consume a gluten–free diet, Bard’s Gold American Lager provides an excellent gluten–free beer option. Brewed in Missouri, this refreshing and flavorful beer contains no wheat, barley, rye or oats, and we love that it boasts fuller flavor and richer aromas than other gluten–free beers.
Bright red berry fruit, very little oak and refreshing acidity. Pinot Noir is quite possibly the easiest wine varietal with which to pair food. From salmon to pork, and with a variety of cheeses and salads, this is a workhorse around the table.
