We recently had the exciting opportunity to add another local cheese producer to our mix: Nicasio Valley Cheese Company. Located in Marin County, they are the only organic farmstead cheese producer in California, meaning that their cheese is made exclusively from the organic milk produced by their own heard of pasture-grazed dairy cows. We love their Foggy Morning cheese, an American Cheese Society award-winning fresh cheese with a soft, pillowy texture and a subtle tang that makes it perfect for summer.

We cook our organic orzo to a perfect al dente, and then we toss it with blanched asparagus, oven-roasted tomatoes, fresh-squeezed lemon juice, mint and olive oil. All you need is a simply grilled protein source (we like a nice grilled chicken breast with lemon), and you have a complete summertime meal.
Flavored with cilantro and lime, the slow-roasted pork from our Deli department is cooked for 24 hours, resulting in fall-off-the-bone tenderness. This pork also comes packed with nutrients: a three-ounce serving supplies more than 20 percent of your daily need for protein, along with 30 percent of your daily need for the vitamin thiamin (B1).
