Ever wonder how your favorite fish gets to our seafood department? Meet one of our wonderful partners, fisherman Anthony Ferrari, who helps keep our seafood department stocked! With two boats to his name—the Spellbound and China Doll—Anthony sails out of his port harbor of Bodega Bay to catch fresh, local fish. He started fishing at a young age with his fisherman father, Lou, and has pursued the trade for most of his life since. Fun fact: he also played professional baseball first in the U.S. and then in Italy while still fishing in the off-season!
Go green with delicious salads and veggie-based sides fresh from our kitchen. These delightful dishes feature seasonal produce perfect for spring entertaining. Here are a few favorites to get you started.
Once you start spiraling (veggies and fruits that is), you may not be able to stop! Fun and good for you, spiralized veggies and fruits are made with a simple kitchen gadget called a spiralizer that makes piles of fresh “noodles” to use in all sorts of dishes. (You can also use a carrot peeler, though it takes a little longer.)
Spiralized veggies are a vegan, wheat-free way to replace pasta on your plate, saving you unwanted calories and extra carbs while boosting your intake of fiber, vitamins and minerals. Try taking these spiralizable veggies for a spin!
