While your grocery shopping habits may look a little different right now, rest assured, we at Nugget Markets are still here to help and happy to serve our guests each and every day! To help make your essential grocery shopping trips as safe, positive and efficient as possible, we put together a few tips to keep in mind.
At Home:
- Remember your face covering! For everyone’s safety, all associates and guests are currently required to wear a face covering of some kind while in our stores. If you don’t have a mask, don’t worry—a scarf or other face covering that covers both your nose and mouth also works. To learn how to make your own face covering, check out this video from the Surgeon General.
- Plan ahead! Think about meals for the week, ingredients or leftovers you can freeze and pantry staples that will last you until your next essential grocery trip.
- Bring a list. Knowing exactly what you need will help you get in and out quickly. Pro tip: Use our online aisle listings to plan your route and find everything on your list!
- Space out your shopping trips. While we love seeing all our guests, weekly trips are more advisable than daily for the time being.
At the Store:
- Sanitize and/or glove up! We have sanitizer available for our guests and associates to use, and sanitize our carts between guests, as well.
- Respect social distancing guidelines. Whenever possible, please keep at least six feet apart from other guests and associates.
- Shop solo. If possible, go grocery shopping by yourself. The fewer people we have in our stores at once, the easier it is to maintain healthy social distancing.
- Be flexible. Due to unprecedented demand, we may not have everything you’re looking for, but please know we’re doing our best to stay well-stocked on everyday essentials and other products, and have instituted a purchase limit on certain items to help.
- Avoid touching products you don’t intend to buy. You don’t want anybody else’s germs, and they don’t want yours either!
- Pay with card or Apple Pay. We still accept cash of course, but the fewer items that need to change hands, the better.
There you have it! Even in this day and age, grocery shopping can still be an extraordinary experience. Thank you for joining us in keeping everyone as safe and healthy as possible. We’re all in this together!
