Le Monde Cabernet Franc: While cabernet franc is usually used a blending grape, this standalone version is a great example of why it should be bottled by itself more often. Bright red cherry, plum, hints of tobacco and tea leaf shine, all without the big dry tannins found in cabernet sauvignon.
Böen Chardonnay: A blend of fruit from Monterey, Sonoma and Santa Barbara counties all adds up to a well-crafted, easy-drinking chardonnay with just the right amount of ripe fruits, acidity, butter and oak. This new release is quickly becoming one of our favorites.
Domaine Magdalena Cabernet Sauvignon: Maggie Hedges makes this wine from a small plot of Demeter Certified Biodynamic cabernet sauvignon grapes in the Red Mountain AVA in Washington State. We could go on and on about the extreme measures and care taken to make this wine, but one sip will tell you everything you need to know.
Henriot Brut Souverain Champagne: Equal parts chardonnay and pinot are used to create this blend, which is then aged for more than three years before being released. Toasted brioche notes are followed by white peach and delicate cherry undertones. A nice dry finish with just a hint of nuttiness keeps you coming back for more.
