Cucumber & Green Tea Face Mask
Accidentally get a bit too much sun? This mask is great for sunburned skin thanks to its inflammatory-modulating ingredients. Cucumber is soothing and calming for skin, green tea adds an antioxidant punch and, thanks to the naturally occurring lactic acid, the yogurt is mildly exfoliating.
Got oily skin? Try fat free Greek yogurt. Dry skin types will enjoy the moisturizing benefits of full fat yogurt. Normal skin types can experiment with which variety works best.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon grated cucumber
1 teaspoon powdered matcha green tea
Preparation:
Mix thoroughly and apply to clean, damp skin. Let sit for 5 minutes, then rinse with warm or cool water. Follow with moisturizer.
Lavender Rose Geranium Toner
Good for all skin types, this floral toner can also be used as a setting mist for your makeup this morning.
Ingredients:
1 teaspoon Epsom salts
¼ teaspoon fine ground Himalayan salt
1 cup boiling water
2 teaspoons rosewater or rose hydrosol
1 drop lavender essential oil
1 drop geranium essential oil
Preparation:
Add boiling water to Epsom salt and Himalayan salt. Let cool to room temperature, pour into 8-ounce spray bottle. Add rosewater or rose hydrosol and 1 drop each lavender and geranium essential oils. Shake lightly to blend, then spritz on face.
