For the 12th year in a row, we’ve earned a spot on FORTUNE Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” list! Now in our 90th year, Nugget Markets is dedicated to providing extraordinary quality and service both within the community and our own walls. Associates from all 16 of our stores participated in the anonymous surveys that helped determine our ranking, and in one of the surveys, an associate even likened us to “the Disneyland of grocery stores,” where managers feel like "just another friend at work."

Two thirds of our total ranking was based on responses from the random survey Great Place to Work conducted last July, and the other third was based on an in-depth look into our company culture, benefits, programs, facilities, practices and perks. Along with a fun, family feel, generous benefits like a 4% 401k match and zero health premiums for full and part-time associates boosted our score. It also helps that we’ve never had a layoff in our 90-year history!
