Heart Health Month is here and we’re celebrating with a Heart-Healthy Art Contest just for kids! While this special video and contest are designed for children ages 3-11, kids of all ages can benefit from learning how to treat their heart right! Watch the video to see how you can help take care of your heart with heart-healthy foods and activities!

Heart Health Month is here and we’re celebrating with a Heart-Healthy Art Contest just for kids! While this special video and contest are designed for children ages 3-11, kids of all ages can benefit from learning how to treat their heart right! Watch the video to see how you can help take care of your heart with heart-healthy foods and activities!

After you’ve watched the video, bust out the crayons, colored pencils or markers and have fun creating some heart art! Get started by either picking up a Heart-Healthy Art Contest coloring sheet at the check stand of your local Nugget Markets, or by printing the attached PDF (double-sided). Then color the illustration and draw in your favorite heart-healthy food or activity—get creative and have fun!

If you want to enter your work of art into our Heart-Healthy Art Contest, simply fill out the contact information on the back of the coloring sheet and turn it in to your local Nugget Markets for a chance to win a Gold Nugget Coin (value of $10)! The coloring sheets will be judged in three age groups (3-5, 6-8 and 9-11) with points awarded for creativity and eye-catching coloring skills. Each store will have three winners (one per age group) and the winning art will be displayed in a Facebook gallery!

We’re accepting entries now through Monday, February 27, so be sure to get your heart-healthy art in before time runs out!
